You can delete your Kikaron account yourself, at any time, from the app on your phone or from the web. You do not need to contact us.
In the app on your phone
This works in Kikaron Messages and the other Kikaron apps for Android and iPhone.
- Open the app and tap Settings.
- Under Account, tap Delete account.
- Read the warning, enter your password and tap Delete my account.
On the web
- Go to one.kikaron.com/apps/password/account/delete/ and sign in if you are asked to. If your account is on hub.kikaron.com or pro.kikaron.com, use that address instead.
- Read the warning, enter your password and click Delete my account.
If you cannot sign in
Email info@kikaron.com from the email address of your account and ask us to delete it. We confirm that the request is yours and handle it within one month.
What happens when you delete your account
- Straight away your account is blocked. You are signed out on every device, and none of the Kikaron apps can sign in with it any more.
- For 30 days you can change your mind: sign in again with your email address and password, and the deletion is cancelled.
- After 30 days your account and its data are permanently erased: your profile (name and email address), your conversations and messages, and the files, photos, mail, calendar, contacts, tasks and notes in your account.
What we keep
- Billing and invoicing data, if you had a paid subscription: 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires.
- Server logs: at most 30 days, then they are deleted automatically.
If you run a community
If you are the only administrator of a community (hub) that has other members, first make another member an administrator. Until then the deletion page shows which communities are affected and does not let you continue, so your members are not left without an administrator.
